Prices and Costings

When hiring a motorhome there’s two main prices to consider. The Hire Charge and the Security Deposit.

The Hire Charge :-

This is the amount the Hirer pays for the rental charge of the vehicle. It’s calculated Per Night and is automatically generated when you enter your Collection and Return dates, when booking.

When making a booking online you have the option to either: Pay a Deposit (usually £300) or Pay in Full. This deposit is a part payment of the Hire Charge and is not to be mistaken with the Security Deposit. All Hire charges are to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to your hire collection date.

The Security Deposit :-

The Security Deposit is a returnable sum which is paid to cover possible loss or damage to the vehicle. If necessary this may be used to pay for unexpected charges such as vehicle damage or parking tickets/fines.
When the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it left, with no damage, the security deposit is returned.

The amount is usually processed via a Credit or Debit card and is done by what’s known as Pre-Authorisation. In brief this means a hold is placed on the money and no money is taken. Then when the security deposit is returned the hold is simply released.

Seasons :-

The 12 months of each year are divided into Seasons, Low Season, Mid Season, High Season.

Low Season = January, February, November, December.
Mid Season = March, April, October.
High Season = May, June, July, August, September.
